Our programs focus on teaching the skills our athletes need to succeed on and off the field.

North Storm Academy (Formerly School of Excellence/Girls Academy/Juniors Academy)

Starting this Fall on Tuesdays and Wednesdays TBAYS Juniors and Youth players will have the opportunity to accelerate their soccer development by training with 2-3 of our highly qualified North Storm Coaches. The North Storm Academy will offer Junior and Youth players the opportunity to feed their soccer diet by focusing on their technical development.

It is the goal of the TBAYS Junior and Youth program to provide a soccer environment which is player development driven. This Fall we not only look forward to providing a great atmosphere for your son or daughter to play and have fun, but to also develop a love for the game.


Friday Night Finishing

Coach Marshall Collins, Goalkeeper Trainer and our Coaches  collaborate for this special program offering. The purpose of this training is to give our players better ideas on how to finish properly as well as confidence going into Saturday game days.

Strikers- We will teach strikers the 7 steps of finishing. We will emphasize technical skill development with the correct application.
Goalkeepers- We will teach goalies to recognize breakaways, how to “stay big”, work on mental toughness, and shot stopping.

*Everyone is required to bring their own ball please!

Goal Keeper Training

TBAYS North Storm offering training sessions for GoalKeepers. There is no cost to this program. Goal Keeper Coach will work and train Goal Keepers. Our 6 weeks Goal Keeper Training guides young, developing Goal Keepers through a step-by-step process teaching the building blocks necessary to succeed in this critical position. Training would include Handing and Footwork, 1v1 Breakaways, Dealing with crosses, Shot stopping and Distribution Techniques.

Sunday Soccer Friendlies are for kids ages 8, 9 and 10 from the School of Excellence player pool Boys & Girls who aspire to play at the highest TBAYS level on a North Storm travel team.

What are the Soccer Friendlies?  

A “Friendly” is a soccer term that means a competitive but fun game. TBAYS has partnered with our friends from Cadillac, Leland, Elk Rapids, Gaylord and Petoskey to showcase U9 boys and girls and provide the opportunity to play in an environment that focuses on developmental skills with teams from around the area.

Who is eligible to take part in these ‘friendlies’?

Any player who desires to showcase their skills and knowledge in the Sunday Soccer Friendlies is eligible to play as long as they meet the following criteria:

  • Their birth year is 2007, 2008 and 2009
  • They must bring a ball and water bottle
  • They regularly attend TBAYS’ Wednesday night Academy School of Excellence-Training Sessions
  • Are willing to get better technically, improve their soccer IQ with a smile and ready to participate in training
  • And they must wear their School of Excellence jersey to practice

Cost: $30.00 for 6 training sessions and games in Spring 2017

About the Camp:
TBAYS Summer Camp is designed to help each player reach his or her soccer potential through a challenging and rewarding camp program, centered around the World Cup Theme.

TBAYS Summer Camp will be a fun, rewarding, and challenging experience where players will focus on individual skills in a developmental setting and then be able to transfer those improved skills to the pitch in a real game activities.

With the goal of improving each player’s individual level of play, coaching will be done by a trained coaching staff. Coaches will work with players, focusing on improving both personal skills and their understanding of the game. Come Join us at Keystone Soccer Complex this summer and enjoy with a little international flare in TBAYS World Cup.

 Mr. Soccer Camps are run by Anders Kelto, a former “Mr. Soccer” (the award going to the top high school player in Michigan) and a three-time All-American.

The camps are open to boys and girls of all skill levels, ages 14 and under.
